Poems - The End of the Journey
The End of the Journey
Finally the long day has over
The journey is done
The suffering has over
Finally I can see the bright sun
I finally hit the road
With stuffs and load
I could ask for no more
Because in front of me, there is the door
The wind blows and the tree bows
The green grass filled me with joy
It’s the first time I miss the rain
The sound of the rain finally can make me sleep again
Finally the long day has over
The journey is done
The suffering has over
Finally I can see the bright sun
I finally hit the road
With stuffs and load
I could ask for no more
Because in front of me, there is the door
The wind blows and the tree bows
The green grass filled me with joy
It’s the first time I miss the rain
The sound of the rain finally can make me sleep again
Poems-Betrayal
Betrayal
Betrayer doesn’t deserve to be treated right
You stabbed us behind our back
You give the rights to the wrong person
It’s time for us to pay back
This is your home
This is where you belong
These are your friends
These are your partners
Remember what he has done to us?
Remember what he has done to your friends?
Anger and disappointment can’t describe our feelings
We’ve been hurt and betrayed by our own sister
Betrayer doesn’t deserve to be treated right
You stabbed us behind our back
You give the rights to the wrong person
It’s time for us to pay back
This is your home
This is where you belong
These are your friends
These are your partners
Remember what he has done to us?
Remember what he has done to your friends?
Anger and disappointment can’t describe our feelings
We’ve been hurt and betrayed by our own sister
Poems -Someone's Behind Me
Someone’s Behind Me
There was a movement behind my back
I was all alone here
But then there’s a sound of footsteps
I was all alone here
As the weather become colder
And the sky becomes darker
I become more afraid than before
My heart beats faster
I ask the moon to accompany me
But there’s no moon in Cyrene
I ask the stars to stay with me
But there’s no star in Cyrene
Oh please God who’s behind me
Behind the tree
It always keeps an eye on me
Who is she, I cannot see
There was a movement behind my back
I was all alone here
But then there’s a sound of footsteps
I was all alone here
As the weather become colder
And the sky becomes darker
I become more afraid than before
My heart beats faster
I ask the moon to accompany me
But there’s no moon in Cyrene
I ask the stars to stay with me
But there’s no star in Cyrene
Oh please God who’s behind me
Behind the tree
It always keeps an eye on me
Who is she, I cannot see
Romero of Voltury in the Land of Cyrene -Book 2
Unknown Land
It was quiet and dark, only the sound of the wind that blows the tree that was whispering. The weather was windy and humid. It seems like the trees were watching over you. This place was a mess, a big mess. Romero woke up, his heart started to beat faster, his blood flowed faster and his adrenaline rushed when he realized that he was alone there, in Cyrene.
He started to travel around this dark mythical land, the unknown land for him. He tried to use his vintage brass compass that he got from his father, if only he could get any clue about where he was. He walked through the dark forest, he walked trough the cliff, but the needle doesn’t move a bit. He turned around and moves in any possible directions, but his compass wasn’t working. There’s no any magnetic pole in Cyrene -- there’s no any sign of living. So he kept his compass back in his pocket albeit it’s not working. He’s planning to repair his compass soon when he reaches his homeland, IF he could get out from here. Then he continued his ‘don’t-know-where-to-go journey’ with a question in his heart, “How did I end up here?”
--
The Heavy Footsteps
He walked alone through the forest without knowing what’s in front of him, he tried to ignore all weird noises from the nature around him. But wait! What’s that sound? Suddenly he stopped when he heard the sound of heavy footsteps that came from behind him. He looked around but no one there, he continued walking. Then the sound of the footsteps become more closely, the footsteps seemed like following him. Romero’s heart beats faster than before, his face turned pale. He was shivering and sweats rushing down from his forehead to his cheek. He took his sword and points it to where the sound came from, but the sounds keep moving around. Then it stopped. He took a few small steps, trying to escape this eeriness, but the sound becomes louder and louder, it’s like thousands people were chasing him. Suddenly from behind the trees came out a dozen of men with horse legs and goat’s beard, their face was not so friendly, they were centaurs (guardian of Cyrene). One of them who looked like the leader came out with a sword in his hand and said “Romero of Voltury what have you done” the voice was so soft yet very strong and deep. The nymphs and the spirits also whispered like that. His eyes told Romero that he should be running by now.

Romero run without looking back, but the moment he turned his back, a lot weirder creatures were chasing after him. He tried to pull out his knife from his pocket, but by mistake his compass fell out and broken. He’d like to save it but there’s no time for looking back. Accidentally, he tripped over a branch and fell down -- while he was trying to get back and stand up, a beautiful white-reddish hand showed up in front of his face, offering some help. Romero took that hand and immediately the girl pulled him away. Romero lost his consciousness caused by the maceration he’d been through all day long -- he fainted all of a sudden. With a little cognition, he tried to open his eyes, he could only see this girl was trying to heal his wound.

The Last Spirit
The next morning Romero woke up in dark cave with a bowl of fruits laying next to him ready to be his breakfast. He ate it like he just been through a great famine, he ate like an angry bear. Then a girl came in and sits next to him and opens his bandage on his knees. Her hand was so small, beautiful, with a white-reddish skin color – Romero realized that this was this girl who saved his life yesterday. Romero wonders who she was and what was she doing here, alone in this creepy place… Suddenly she introduced herself as if she could read what’s on Romero’s mind,
“Hi my name is Raina. Probably you don’t recognize me.”
“Do I suppose to know you?” replied Romero with a feeble voice while exploring his mind trying to remember who she was.
Raina gave Romero a sweet expression and told him, “I will tell you everything later, you should take a rest now, your wound still need a rest” Her words were like hypnotizing him, Romero fell asleep directly when Raina said her last word.
In Romero’s dream he feels like he knew this girl Raina, she seemed familiar but Romero couldn’t recall who she was. Then he got a vision through his dream, he remembered he ever been in this land, he ever came here with the soldiers of Voltury. But all he saw was the soldiers were abusing the nature in Cyrene -- hey tortured them and took advantages of the nature. Romero could hear the voice of the spirits of the natures. They were screaming. Then he remembered one thing, at that time, he only able to saved one tree, and the rest has been destroyed by the severity of the people of Voltury. When he saw Raina, he felt something different, it’s like Raina was the spirit of the cherry tree he saved at that slaughter moment. They have the same aura, but Romero doesn’t give a thought of it.
After he awakened, he asked Raina “Why do you save me?”
A single sentence from Raina explains everything; “You ever saved me from the slaughter.”
But his curiosity is killing him, so that he asked Raina, “But back at that time, I guessed you’re not the only one who survived, I believe. So where are the rest of you?”
Raina replied immediately, “Yes you were right, I am not the only one who survived. But I am the only one who still thinks clearly, everyone else gone mad. Just like the centaurs that ran after you yesterday, they were demanding for revenge.”
Romero shivered when he heard the word ‘revenge’ but he tried not to think about it…

Legendary Sword
The next day they both were hunting for the legendary sword that was told to be the mightiest sword. First, they went to the Cave of The Goddess or as the people of Voltury knew it as the cave behind the waterfall. When they reached that place, the waterfall was no longer there. Raina said it’s because the spirit has gone since the slaughter era. They got in into the cave -- it was dark, the wall around it was sticky, and it was stuffy. They found no clue inside so they moved on to the Temple of The Prayers. This was the temple where usually the older nature spirits gather and pray to the mother-nature to ask for prosperity and fertility. Sadly, even now the mother-nature did no longer exist. They stepped on the first stairs before getting to the temple -- they go on until they reached the huge and pretentious entrance gate. They opened the gate and suddenly many traps came! Arrows from all directions came over towards them, luckily they could avoid it and run inside the temple. This grandiose temple did not disappoint them -- they could find the sword easily because it was located right in the middle of the temple. Clear, like no one ever touch it. After he’d been through all the obstacles, he knew that taking that sword wasn’t easy as it looks. “Stay here and don’t move,” said Romero to Raina. Then slowly he approached the table, he walked gently toward it, and then suddenly “CRACK” the floor he stepped on fell apart. He’s getting nervous. Without thinking too long, he ran and grabbed the sword then he pulled Raina’s hand and they both ran as fast as they could without looking back. The temple crashed and fell apart to pieces, just after they walked out from the temple. The feelings inside them were mixed up, relieved, happy, afraid, and also shocked.

The Pay Back
After they stepped out from the temple, from behind the trees in front of them appeared the centaurs. Their faces were unfriendly than before, he shouted to Raina, “KILL THAT TRAITOR OF CYRENE! KILL THAT BOY FROM VOLTURY! He has to feel what we suffered because of them!” Romero wanted to make negotiation “Wait, wait, I got solution for both…” He hasn’t finished his words and the centaurs shouted, “NO MERCY! For Cyrene!” Then the centaurs were chasing after both of them. They both ran and ran into the forest the do not know where they want to go but they kept running. Their bodies were full with fear and sweats. One hand holding the sword while another hand was holding Raina’s hand; Romero ran with one thought, how could I go back to Voltury and leave Cyrene forever? So then he took Raina to the Cave of The Goddess. They stayed there for a while, they were planning to go out and defeat the centaurs. When Romero tried to pull the sword from the scabbard, he failed. It’s like the sword ‘stick’ with the scabbard, strong magnetic force keep the sword with the scabbard. With a feeble voice, Raina said to Romero “This legendary sword needs someone special to take it out from the scabbard. You are not ready for it.”
Then Raina fainted for about an hour because she was too weak, she needs to turn back into her original form, cherry tree for a while to restore her energy, but now it was too late. She has no strength. When she awoke, she could not find where Romero was. She becomes afraid that maybe something bad had happened to him – when she gets out from the cave Romero was back with a hand full with fresh fruits and another hand holding a beautiful orchid flower. Raina was so shocked when she saw the orchid flower, immediately she threw the flower away from Romero’s hand. “Do not take any living plant! As I said before, all plants and natures here have spirits! And all spirits in Cyrene are now against us. That orchid flower’s spirit might work together with the centaurs and tell them where we were hiding! We have to run now!”
Right in front of the cave, hundreds of centaurs were standing, circling the cave with thousands of spirits nature flying above them. “Any last word Romero of Voltury? See above this cloud? That is your homeland Voltury. We have been looking all your activities for a long time. The natural wealth that you took from Cyrene, you abused them. We could saw it down here, the Volturians were not satisfied after tortured and destroyed Cyrene. Now we will destroy you then we will do the same to Voltury. And for you traitor, we will send you to the under world, and your spirit will be tortured for lifetime for helping the most despicable human being,” said the centaurs to Romero and Raina.

The Great Escape
Just when the centaur pulled his sword, Raina whistled loudly then a white, flawless, and beautiful horse spirit came. Immediately Raina grabbed Romero’s hand and the both jumped on the horse spirit. Raina whipped the back of the horse and the horse ran as fast as it could. The centaurs did not let them go off just like that, he whistled through his hand and an army of weird creatures chased after them. They were only 15 meters away. They do not know which way to go -- Raina does not know which place is clear because she assured that spies are everywhere now. Then it’s like a light bulb popped in Raina’s mind, shortly she whispered to the horse. Romero couldn’t hear what she was saying, but then the horse dashed in a high speed, running like in a race. Then in a blink of the eye, the centaurs were gone. It seemed that they couldn’t trace them. The horse spirit was heading to a mountain, far away from the Cave of the Goddess. The mountain was still beautiful, it’s like the Volturians never touch or even know this place. Then Raina said,
“Beautiful isn’t it? Cyrene was supposed to be like this before *sigh* Come on get down from the horse. This is my homeland.”
“Uhm, I’m sorry for what my people had done to this place,” said Romero directly.
“It’s okay. It has been done and you can’t change it. Here, let me take you around.”
They both walked away and for the first time, Romero’s heart filled with peacefulness …
